Hi, this will be my final update on Viviscal. My initial order form and supply is running low, I think I will probably buy some more but I do have two bottles of my previous hair vitamin that I do want to use up so I might use those first.

I really do think that Viviscal has been helpful to my hair, especially my edges. Where I had spots on my hairline which were a bit thin, there has certainly been hair regrowth. And my hair overall feels is really healthy and I think it’s a great hair vitamin.

So the final length check: my hair at the back is now 8 inches long which is about an inch longer than it was last month. It seems that while taking Viviscal I’m getting about an inch of great per month. This is about twice as much as I’m used to while taking my previous hair vitamins or no vitamins at all.

In addition to taking Viviscal if you want long healthy hair I recommend that you avoid stress, get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water because you need your hair be moisturised and hydrated from the inside out. Also avoid heavy drinking and smoking.

Jo.

I’ve been taking the Viviscal supplement the two months today. I don’t have any issues with it and I don’t feel that I need to supplement it with anything else.I found with my previous hair vitamin that I needed to supplement other stuff because my nails were peeling. But with Viviscal my nails are really strong and long. Actually my nails are growing realy fast since I started taking the supplements. I can tell because if I don’t paint my nails for few days the new unpainted nail will show pretty quickly.

Friends have commented that my hair looks thicker and I really didn’t think my hair could get a thicker. I’ve had much less hair shedding in the shower compared to a few months ago.

I’m going to do a quick length check on my hair now…. It’s still around about 7 inches at the back, maybe a little more but I think the big change this month is how my hair looks a lot thicker.

I’ll still continue to take Viviscal and get back to you in a month or so. Please post any questions below.

One month into my quest for tailbone length hair using Viviscal. For those of you who don’t know Viviscal is a hair growth supplements or as I prefer to say hair vitamin. I don’t like the term hair growth supplements because I don’t think they make your hair grow they just give you the proper nutrients to help maximise your growth. Anyway Viviscal nurses thinning hair and promotes existing hair growth.

I really like Viviscal so far, I haven’t had any issues with it, I have no complaints whatsoever. You’re not supposed to see any regrowth for three months or so, so I’m not expecting any hair growth surge yet. One thing was that was happening was that my forehead was getting really greasy, I was taking Omega 7 at the same time. So I stopped taking the Omega 7 to see if it was that which was making my forehead greasy (it was).

My nails are growing pretty well they seem quite strong. I was putting together furniture a few weeks ago and to my surprise I didn’t break a nail so my nails feel really strong.

Anyway onto my hair growth. During this last month my hair at the back has grown another inch, it is now 7 inches. This is about twice as fast as I’m used to. If you have any questions about the Viviscal supplements please let me know.

My ultimate goal for my hair is to grow it out to where it’s like tailbone length which would make it pretty long. It’s only about 6 inches at the moment so I do understand that it’s going to take a very long time for me to reach that goal.

To help me however I am going to use for a hair vitamin Viviscal Max Strength which is supposed to strengthen existing hair and promotes new hair growth. It contains a marine protein which is the active ingredient in supplement.

I’d seen Viviscal in reviews, people had said that they had seen very good results while using it. They do sell it at my favourite health food store for so I was really interested in trying this product and I do trust’s products which are sold at this store. So I did a little more research and decided to get four months supply.

I also got the shampoo. The shampoo is really good, it’s a clear shampoo and I was really scared to use it because normally clear shampoos tangle my hair like trees eat but this one did not.

I got the conditioner as well. The conditioner is good as well however it contains silicon so I’m going to use it less frequently.

The scalp lotion which I also ordered has lots of proteins in it so I’m not going to use that every night because I don’t want to get PTU overload. I think I’m only going to use scalp lotion periodically on the edges of my hairline.

I have a pretty good filled in hairline but I do have one spot that I always think I’m going bald in and I always think I could properly grow some more hair there so we’ll see if Viviscal can get that to grow.

Note however that the active ingredient is in settlement so if you are interested in trying the Viviscal line of products don’t just to get the shampoo, conditioner and scalp lotion without the supplements and think you are going to get amazing results. What the secondary products like the shampoo, conditioner and scalp lotion do is give you a healthy environment for hair growth.

The supplements themselves are not too big, I been taking them for five days. I will be updating my hair growth every month. Measuring it now, the length at the back is 6″. If you have any questions leave them in the comments section. Bye for now.

Jo.

As the recession comes to an end Brits will experience more hair loss according to a survey.

Research by Aviva has now indicated that cost-cutting techniques may be improving the health of people in the UK. But as the recession ends unhealthy eating habits are set to return and so with them increased hair loss.

The insurer explained that penny pinching eating habits like growing your own vegetables are benefiting long-term health, but the survey also revealed only 35 per cent of adults intend to keep up them up after an economic recovery takes place.

“Despite anecdotal reports that the recession is bad for your health, this research proves that the recession has prompted some new habits that are actually good for you.” says Dr Doug Wright, principal clinical consultant at Aviva UK Health.

Those suffering from hair loss due to a poor diet could benefit from taking the Viviscal programme.

Stress is a common cause for hair loss in women. Scientifically called Telogen Effluvium, it gives a general thinning of the hair over the entire scalp and can in itself be quite stressful when it happens which can lead more greater hair loss. The problem fortunately is temporary and mends itself given enough time. However, occasionally problem can continue and develop into something more serious.

Telogen effluvium relates to the natural growth cycle of hair. Hair follicles have two phases within this cycle. The one phase involves growth and the other resting. The growth phase lasts around 3 to 5 years at which point the hair follicle will enter it’s resting and shedding phase which generally lasts around three months. Each hair follicle follows its own phase and at any one time around 15% of you follicles are in a resting phase. Sudden stress can increase this proportion of resting follicles dramatically which results noticeable hair loss. Then after the 3 months the resting hair will start to grow again.

There are a number of stress triggers, some of the most common are: severe emotional stress, fever, major surgery, childbirth, illness, anemia, crash diets, and drugs. It is usually a combination of the conditions which causes the hair loss. The best remedy is to identify the conditions that are producing the stress and put a stop to them.
