Where as most cases of permanent hair loss are due to a genetic disposition, temporary hair loss can result from a poor diet and lack of nutrients.

Good nutrition is very important to the health of your hair and scalp. For a healthy head of hair try to consume the majority of you calories from the following:

  1. whole grain foods
  2. green vegetables
  3. fish – particularly salmon
  4. legumes
  5. dairy products
  6. lean meat
  7. poultry

If you consume a healthy diet containing most of the foods above, nutrient deficiencies, should not be a problem.
