Viviscal Clinical Trials

Viviscal conducted a recent survey of those that have used Viviscal since it was first launched in the UK. The results were very positive with over 85% saying that they would recommend the food supplement to others and 58% saying they notice a difference in their hair in only 2 months and over 75% in six months.

But Viviscal or rather the active marine ingredient that Viviscal is based has also undergone many clinical trials. The results of these trials indicate quite conclusively that Viviscal is effective in stopping hair loss.

2005 Viviscal Clinical Trial

A Double-blind study of Viviscal and placebo to investigate the effect and tolerability in persons with hair loss

60 participants(55 completed 51 male, 4 female) over a period of 12 months published in The Journal of International Medical Research in October 2005

After 6 months 77% of the individuals taking Viviscal experienced positive results and the average hair count for those taking Viviscal had risen by 45%. No improvement was reported in the placebo group.

After 12 months the average hair count had increased to 61% for the participants taking Viviscal and there was still no improvement in the placebo group however tolerability in the Viviscal group was comparable to that of the placebo group.

The results showed that Viviscal has a significant effect on hair growth.
